Bath Safety Aids

Bathing is one of the greatest and the most difficult jobs for the people, who are handicapped or incapacitated by the multiple reasons, like old age, weakness due to a disease or some innate fault, temporary or the permanent disability due to an accident or injury, or the post surgical trauma or care advised by the doctor etc. Even though, no body can ever afford to avoid the most natural physical requirements, like discharging the wastes from the body. Moreover, cleaning and bathing is also one of the essentials of the normal human life. To fulfill all these hygienic requirements, one surely needs complete independence, which is a mere dream with the special people of the society in most of the cases. The dependent people therefore will have to trust the comrades for the discharge of even the most private needs, which is not always a nice option with them.  Moreover, in all such cases, it may not be even possible for the special or the dependent people to avail the assistance f the caregiver or friend, due to various reasons. To cater for the problems of the physically dependent people, the manufacturers have devised a no of the bathroom items, which facilitate the dependent people inside a washroom or a bathroom, to a reasonable extent. Amongst these, a few are the commodes, commode chairs, shower chairs, grab bars, toilet safety frames, hand held showers, transfer benches, bath seats and bath stools etc. All this equipment adds to the ease and comfort of the user and saves him from the trouble and botheration, he may be a helpless victim of, due to sheer negligence or the carelessness of his own or the caregivers and associates.

Commodes are the chair like structures, which provide a good sitting posture to the users.  The furniture with the open bottom or a hole inside provides the user an opportunity to have a good relief from the unwanted wastes. Moreover, cleanin the lower parts does not become a  problem , due to the access available to them. The commodes like shower or bathing commodes facilitate the user while having a shower or bath, as they can easily access their lower organs, without troubling themselves a lot.

Bath seats and stools do the same function, while bathing. Transfer benches help in shifting the user inside and out of the bath tubs etc.  Hand held showers are operated with hands and are not like the ordinary showers that fatigue the user, tire him and risk him to fall or slip. Toilet safety frames are the rails installed on the sides of the commodes or the bathtubs and help the frail user to get into and out of the commodes, showers and the bathtubs etc.Grab bars are the strong structures, which can be gripped to save oneself from the fear of slipping away, while under a shower. The raised toilet seats are specially designed for the users, with a backbone ailment, who feel difficulty in bowing too much or lowering their backs. In short, now blessed are the special people with a lot of the bath safety aids, which facilitate them inside a bathroom, or toilet a lot.
